Introduction to BRIGADE/Standard

This course is for beginners, no knowledge in Finite Element Analysis is required.

Introduction to BRIGADE/Standard is a 2-day course which covers everything from building a model to evaluating results. The course includes theory and workshop segments.

Agenda:

  • Day 1:
    • Creating Geometry
    • Assigning Material
    • Assigning Loads (Basic Loads, Traffic Loads, Load Combinations)
  • Day 2
    • Producing the FE-model
    • Request Results (Output) and Start Analysis
    • Open and Evaluate the results

This course is for beginners, some knowledge in Finite Element Analysis is required.

Introduction to BRIGADE/Plus is a 2-day course which covers everything from building a model to evaluating results. The course includes theory and workshop segments.

  • Day 1:
    • Creating Geometry
    • Assigning Material and Section Properties
    • Assembly of Geometric Parts
    • Creating analysis procedures (Steps) and Requesting results (Output)
    • Adding Interactions between different Parts
  • Day 2
    • Assigning Loads and Boundary Conditions
    • Assigning Moving Loads
    • Definition of Load Groups and Load Combinations
    • Meshing the Model
    • Job Management and Result Visualization
Advanced modeling in BRIGADE/Plus
This course is for intermediate users. The Introductory course to BRIGADE/Plus is recommended.

Advanced modeling in BRIGADE/Plus is a 2-day course which covers advanced topics in geometric modeling of shell structures and creating interactions to connect them in the assembly.

Bridge Dynamics in BRIGADE/Plus

This course is for intermediate users, knowledge in Finite Element Analysis is required.

Bridge Dynamics in BRIGADE/Plus is a 1-day course which covers dynamic analyses in BRIGADE/Plus. The course includes theory and workshop segments.

Agenda:

  • Day 1:
    • Introduction to Structural Dynamics
    • Dynamic Analysis in BRIGADE/Plus
    • Response of of High-speed Trains
      (analysis & design code requirements)
Free Body Cuts in BRIGADE/Plus

This course is for intermediate users, knowledge in Finite Element Analysis is required.

Free Body Cuts in BRIGADE/Plus is a 1-day course which covers the usage and theory behind Free Body Diagrams in Finite Element Analysis. The course includes theory and workshop segments.

Scripting in BRIGADE/Plus

This course is for experienced BRIGADE/Plus users.

In this course we focus on the scripting functionality in BRIGADE/Plus and how these possibilities can be used for maximizing the time efficiency during modelling, analysis and post-processing of results.

  • Day 1:
    • Introduction to Python fundamentals
    • How Python is used in BRIGADE/Plus
    • How to script geometry
    • How to script material properties
    • How to script loads and boundary conditions
  • Day 2:
    • How to script live loads
    • How to script load groups and load combinations
    • How to mesh with scripting
    • How to start jobs using scripting
    • How to visualize results using scripting
